The colour base that I am looking for is a cornflower blue although the room also has some yellow in it. My perfect fabric would be a wool tartan which was mostly cornflower blue but with thin yellow or brown tartan stripes running across and through. However, I would also be happy with a 'textured' cornflower blue upholstery fabric. However blue is obviously not the 'in' colour and it appears that unless I want fuschia, limegreen or neutrals, it is going to be hard. Can anyone help? Specifics rather than general as I have done Internet/John Lewis/individual design shops to death.

Reply:I agree with one of your answers, go to the charity shops, look at all the skirts and curtains I'm sure you will find some thing in one if your patient.
Reply:If you#re not too proud, try the cheap option. Have a look in some of your local charity shops for some curtain material. You might find something close to the colour and pattern that you want, and it will certainly be a lot cheaper.
